Mark Garratt and Sanjib Mohanty of in4mation insights will attend and present at the 2016 ART (Advanced Research Techniques) Forum located close to in4mation insights in Boston, MA. They will lead a pre-conference tutorial on Marketing Mix Modeling as well as present during the Monday morning session on Modeling Customer Behavior. Their presentation, Can Everything Drive Everything? Challenges with Highly Parameterized VARs, will demonstrate the evolution of the path to purchase from a simple linear progression to an ecosystem where consumers play a more active role. Partner and co-founder, Steve Cohen, will give a fireside chat on day 1 of the Big Data Innovation Summit. The summit will take place in in4mation insights' hometown of Boston, MA on September 9th and 10th. Steve's fireside chat, "Big Data Meets Econometric Modeling", will demonstrate the applications of Big Data from a modeling perspective in the market research industry.

Partner and co-founder, Mark Garratt, along with Senior Marketing Science Director, Mary Beth Broadbent, are spending the afternoon at Boston University Questrom School of Business. They are focusing their lecture on Conjoint Methods as they relate to pricing. The class is part of a marketing course led by Shuba Srinivasan entitled Pricing Strategy and Tactics. Mark and Mary Beth are excited to be back in an academic setting and are looking forward to sharing their experiences with future marketing professionals.

The 2015 Insights Innovation eXchange (IIeX) will include a workshop led by in4mation insights' partner and co-founder, Steve Cohen. Steve's workshop is entitled "The 1980s called and they want their segmentation study back! Things that no segmentation researcher of the 21st Century should be doing". The workshop, which takes place at 3pm on June 15th, will focus on the detriments of using outdated segmentation methodologies and the benefits of practicing current ones.
Steve's workshop will be part of a module entitled "Meet the Disrupters", which provides an opportunity for those who have "disrupted" or changed traditional market research practices to share their innovative ideas with others in the corporate insights, market research, and technology industries. A program of tutorials that allows a hands-on introduction to data science topics will now be part of the highly prestigious AMA 2015 ART (Advanced Research Techniques) Forum, which Mark Garratt is co-chairing.
The ART Forum is an important industry conference which will be held from June 14th-17th in San Diego, CA. This year the event is entitled Relearning the Fundamentals: Insights and Inference from Thoughtful Analysis. The New York Times has published a piece on the history and current use of Bayesian statistics. in4mation insights is unique and known throughout the market research industry for its application of Bayesian statistics to solve complex research questions. In the New York Times article, Bayesian statistics is defined as "a set of mathematical rules for using new data to continuously update beliefs or existing knowledge". While the theories and methods of Bayesian statistics were developed in the 18th century, it has seen renewed interest in the last twenty years as computational advances have increased machine power allowing for more complex mathematics like Bayesian statistics. The article accurately and effectively explains its superiority to basic statistics as well as shows the many fields, industries, and arenas that Bayesian statistics may be applied. Partner and co-founder of in4mation insights, Steve Cohen, was named a 2014 winner of the Ginny Valentine Badge of Courage Award at the insights innovation exchange (IIeX) in Atlanta, Georgia. The award is named in honor of Virginia "Ginny" Valentine for her courage and persistence in the market research industry. Steve was recognized for his work utilizing academic methodology commercially.

Co-founder and partner, Steven Cohen, was inducted into the Market Research Council (MRC) Hall of Fame at their annual meeting in New York City. The MRC, chartered in 1927, is the oldest and one of the most prestigious Market Research organizations in the world. Membership is limited by invitation only to senior research professionals. The MRC's Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made distinguished and outstanding accomplishments in the Market Research industry. Winners prior to 2000 include George Gallup, Paul Lazarsfeld, Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr., Elmo Roper, W. Edwards Deming, Daniel Yankelovich, Burns W. Roper, David Ogilvy, and Gale D. Metzger.

Tom Anderson, founder of NGMR, said Steve Cohen won the award for "continuously challenging the quantitative side of our industry through such innovations as choice-based conjoint and MaxDiff to more recent insight advancements around clustering and latent class segmentation, much of which can also be leveraged in the analysis of Big Data."
